Sports injury rehabilitation
Due to press exposure regarding obesity and unhealthy life styles interest in sports and fitness has never been higher. This has lead to increased participation in recreational and organised sports by all ages and both sexes. A consequence to this is that we are now seeing a growing number of sports injuries. Most of these are minor sprains, strains and bruises, and many are due to overuse rather than external force.
Using acupuncture for sports injury along with massage can aid recovery after only a few sessions.
Consultation & Treatment
An initial consultation at our sports injury clinic in Burton on Trent is required to get a full background to how the sport injury developed. A devised personal treatment plan is created and treatment begins straight away. The type of sports injury will determine what combination of treatments are required, for example a sprain or pulled muscle may be treatedusing massage with acupuncture to control the pain.
